Australians are increasingly satisfied, happy and feeling as if life is worthwhile.

WORRIES are down and wellbeing is up. Our top concern is the cost of living, although the level has lessened. Our second-biggest headache is government policy. "It's good news, isn't it," said economist Dean Pearson, head of industry analysis at NAB, which conducted the unique research into both consumer anxiety and wellbeing. The improvements had occurred against a backdrop of worsening economic conditions, Mr Pearson said. This showed Australians measured their quality of life and anxiety levels in broader terms.
